Rain Gutter Problems

Hi people... on our new Alpine the rain gutter black rubber or plastic keeps pulling out of its channel . This is on both sides of the trailer and it is close to the
middle of its length. It was on the curb side when I bought the unit and I had the dealer fix it , didn't stay fixed and now it is on both sides now.
The dealer is 300 miles away so I need to repair it myself somehow.
Any ideas or help is most welcome.

Take a piece of the vinyl insert and measure its width. Order a roll of replacement vinyl insert and pull the old stuff out of the aluminum channel, insert the new stuff, attach the ends the same way as they currently are (some are screwed in place, some use silicone as an adhesive) and save the rest of the roll for the next time. https://www.amazon.com/Camco-25202-V.../dp/B0006JLW5M Cost is about $17.00 for a 100 foot roll of 1" wide insert. Be sure to order the correct color.

It's cosmetic. It covers the #2 Roberts square drive screws that attach the aluminum "J" channel (gutter) in place. The aluminum "J" channel is what secures the TPO roof membrane to the sides of the trailer FILON wall. All the vinyl insert does is "hide the screws" which will rust and stain the trailer sidewall if not covered and protected from the elements. It serves no "functional" purpose other than cosmetic covering of the screws.....

Be sure you order the correct width. I'm guessing it's 1", but it may be 7/8".

THANKS JRTJH!!!
One more question, are the top and bottom of a slide suppose to start out at same time ? I know having the unit level plays a big part. On mine the bottom goes out several inches before the top starts out.

That's the perfect adjustment for the slides. Because the mechanism that moves the slides are at the bottom, the top must make contact first, then the bottom makes contact so the top has tension against the wall and will not drift out while traveling.
