Looking for recommendations for TN State Parks.

We are thinking about taking a one week vacation to one of the state parks in southern Tennessee sometime this summer. We have never been and was looking for input on the parks there or any other campgrounds that would be enjoyable for me and the dw. We mainly enjoy low impact walking and visiting new places. Any input would be appreciated.

The Tennessee parks website is a very good resource. Its well put together and gives good descriptions of RV sites and walking trails available. Are you a golfer? Some parks have a Jack Nicklaus design course that are vey nice. Some have a restaurant in them.

I like Cumberland Mountain outside of Crossville. It has the restaurant and a golf course. Fall Creek Falls is the most popular park in the system and its near impossible to get a reservation in the summer. Its a beautiful park. Check out the website and see if there is something that suits your needs.

If you are interested in visiting the Jack Daniels Distillery then Tims Ford in Winchester TN is good. Depending on how long your RV is will determine which campground will accommodate you, the main CG or the Fairview CG. The main CG has a golf course, boat launch and it hosts some activities some times.

Norris Dam is a great park. They have really nice sites and OK facilities. They also have boats and houseboats for hire on the lake.
We went there last year. We didn't stay very long as we were on a time schedule.
If you go to my YT channel (link below) and watch our US trip video, you'll see some footage we shot there.

Dwall, look no further. http://tnstateparks.com/parks/about/fall-creek-falls
Tennessee is rich with state park offerings, and we look forward to enjoying the tourist dollars you leave behind! (at least I'm honest)

Definitely as mentioned fall creek falls, and Cumberland mountain, 2 of my favorite . To add another to look at is Indian boundary above tellico plains. It only has electric hookup but has water Spicket‘s scattered throughout the campground so we take 1-200’ of hose to refill if needed.
