Under Belly Material

Can anyone advise me what type material they use on the underbelly?? The guys that replaced my Fresh water tank sliced it down the center then used that Membrane forever tape to put it back together rather than doing it the right way and removing the 10mm bolts.
I have an idea it’s not going to hold together and I’m tired of dealing with RV Techs

Chuckster57 and others can verufy this, but that maybe is the normal repair. The material is coroplast. If this isn't right, so.eone will come to my rescue.

No that’s not normal. Our shop takes out all the screws along the perimeter of the coroplast needed to peel it back enough to do the repair. What they did was a hack job. Yeah it’s a PITA but if it’s warranty it’s included in the claim if you have pics. And yeah the tape referred to is the right stuff. It sticks for YEARS!!

Ouch!! The price from Trekwood is crazy! $1.71 Per sq ft, I got 4’ X 8’ sheets for $11.00 each that is 32 sq ft the rolled stuff would be $54.72 a sheet, yes I had some waste, but used six sheets total cost $66.00. Now if that is an error and should be running foot then the price is in line with what I paid.

That tape is what they used. The employee that did this was fired for other reasons. He was sent by the boss to pull back the belly and get the parts numbers off the tank and put an emergeypatch on it leak as just in case purposes. The boss was pissed when he came to install the new tank. He taped it up and said he would replace it if it didn’t hold. We will see, so far I haven’t had a chance to take the rig out. Just ordered new tires as well

You don't want to wait until it "doesn't hold" somewhere down the line when everyone has completely forgotten the situation. Take care of it now, have the hack job undone and have it repaired correctly. You need to take that up with the "boss" right now. If not, you get what you let happen to you.

I would not wait until ....... Dealerships, personnel, computer systems all change. You will be the only one remembering " I will fix it if it fails"

Fix it Now seems to work much better.
