We just bought our second Keystone Cougar (a 2013 280RLS). It has a free standing dinette. It came with some straps to secure the chairs but no instructions about how to effectively use them. We asked the young man who took us through the orientation but he said we don't need them. My concern is that, with as rough as the roads are these days, the chairs will bounce around and possibly damage the Corian countertop of the island. I'll check the forum for suggestions.

hi andto the forum. i did a quick check on the keystone site. do you have 4 chairs around the dinnet? you want the strap! put 2 chairs on each side of the table. get on your hands and knees and run the starp around all four chairs and pull it tight on my unit the legs of the chairs hit the legs of the table and everything stays put if your set up is different for what i saw on the web page. i would still think you would wan to tie the chairs together and then secure them to an unmovable objet. a chair on its own won't be where you left it before you drove off. good luck and enjoy the adventures.

Thanks for the quick responses. Our dealer did not secure the chairs with the straps so I haven't seen the best use for them. I'll see what I can do to figure a best practice for securing the chairs to the table pedestal.
