Manual Slide Operation Cougar 336bhs

Hi, Just recently purchased a 2017 Cougar 336 bhs. During our walk through they were very good at explaining everything except the manual operation of the slides should they not operate with the switch. I didn't think to go in a ask service and we had already left the dealer. I did find a tool in the drawer that his a spring bendy type tool with a drive type on one end and hex type head on the other. Can anyone tell me where the manual operation points are and how the and if this is the tool for it? Our old Denali used a long handle to retract the slide.

Thank you!

Rick

The flex tool is for cable operated slides. There will be a nut type fitting on the top of the cable slide outs inside the coach that it will fit on and use a drill to turn it. If your Cougar is like ours you will also have a gear type slide the you access from the bottom of the trailer. There should be a square cover about a foot in diameter under the manual adjustment. Remove the cover and use either a drill or a Rachet to turn.

Follow the instructions provided by the slide manufacturers manual or website to avoid damage to the motors and only operate manually when absolutely NEEDED. JM2˘, Hank

Dealer explained to us that the small cut outs with covers in the underbelly covering correspond to the slide on the opposite side of the unit. So if your slide on the right side is having trouble look for an access panel opposite side of the trailer from that slide. Under the access panel is the manual operation nut.
