Slide seal disintegrating
My 2009 Keystone Copper Canyon slide seal (on the outside edge of the slide) is decaying, leaving a gummy residue on the trailer when closed.
#1) Where do I order replacement seals?
#2) How hard are these to replace by a DIYer?
#3) what do I use to get the sticky / gummy residue off safely?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Top picture is called “bulb seal”. Sold by the foot, can be gotten most anywhere RV parts are sold. We live in the same city, PM me for sources.

I purchased the seal from Amazon. AP Products 018-338-BLK Slide-in secondary seal.
This is a perfect fit on my Cougar.
I think the goey residue could be removed with hand cleaner (non-abrasive).
Good luck

After pulling off the old rotting bulb seal, I used simple green to get the goo off. Ordering the above from Amazon, seems to match exactly the example piece I kept to compare it to.
Did you have to remove the trim to install it or did it slide easily into the side and top channels? I've used soapy water to help move things into place before, would that help?

Just slide it on. Horizontal seals usually stay in place, vertical seals may have a screw at the bottom.

Mine had small screws that held it in place, i would suggest pushing it into place rather than pulling. I think this would better keep the shape and not stretch them out.
