Hello from Hesperia, CA!

Just purchased a 2008 Montana 2955RL. We are towing it with a 2007 Silverado four door 2500 with the Duramax diesel. Plenty of power on our first trip last week. Did experience a problem with the livingroom slide.
We are both retired, wife from teaching, me from law enforcement.
We are not "new" to RVing as we first had a Class A which was great just wanted to change things up a bit.

Welcome to the forum and I hope all goes well with your camping experiences with your Keystone.

I don't know where the city is you hail from, but I do like California in general.
Traveled there last year from south to North and it is a beautiful state!

Smile So Cal

Hesperia is about half way between LA and Las Vegas, in the High Desert. We live at aboaut the 4000" level and fortunately, only see snow a few times a year. I prefer to look over at the mountains and see it there! We had a problem with the room slide while in Fort Bragg. Seems the teflon bar that guides the slide twisated and broke. Not a good thing. Returned to the dealer and after three attempts by Keystone, finally got the right part. Total bill: $1500. Warranty picked up all but $400. Not too bad. Just returned from San Diego without a problem (except for the rain!).
Heading to Quartzsite in January.

Good morning and welcome to the forum. The Montana and the Chev Duramax make a great combination which I am sure you will enjoy even more (now that the slide is repaired). Enjoy your trip to Quartzsite and travel safely.

Hello Hesperia from Canyon Country, congrats on your new purchase and welcome. Hope you have many safe and enjoyable outings. Was up in the Fort Bragg area last spring, beautiful area but didn't care much for the amount of curves on highway 1 along the coast. Enjoy.
