New to site

My first time posting on site, have read and enjoyed site for awhile. Wanted to introduce myself tell what kind of rv I have.Wife and I are both retired in the last two years. We camp about 10 to 15 days a month.I have a 2012 Avalanche 345TG fifth-wheel.Pulling with 2012 Ford F-350 diesel. We live in west Georgia(Columbus). Have really enjoyed camper no problem until got it out after a couple of months of not camping(winter). The problem is the battery in the keyless entry pad was dead. After reading many comments on the keyless system, was able to find and change battery and it works fine again, but need to know what kind of tape to use in remounting the key pad to the cmaper. The pad is very lite weight, looked as it had a very thin two sided tape holding it on when I took it off to replace the battery.Any comments on what to use would be appericated.

to the forum and to the Keystone family. It sounds like you get much more camping in then many of us. Enjoy that time, especially in a rig like you've got. Look around the forum, you're sure to find a number of topics that interest you. Join in and offer your experiences, that's how we all learn.

As for the double sided tape to reattach your keyless entry pad, almost any double sided trim tape from an auto parts store will work. 3M mades a great one that's sold at Auto Zone, of course there's others as well. Check the paint/body repair section of any parts store for a great selection.

I envy your being able to camp for that many days each month but not sure if I would be allowed to do that. I'll ask but I think I know what the answer will be.

Welcome to the group and hope you find a tape that does the trick.

Welcome to the forum.

Glad to have you with us.

I, too, live in Georgia and maybe we'll see ya at a state park some time!

We are about 40 miles east of Lake Huron and Alpena, and try to get up to the state park in Rogers City for a week each summer. It's right on the shore of Lake Huron, beautiful beach and a pretty good campground. Electricity only, but water is available and there's a dumping station, so facilities are adequate. The beach is only 100 yards from the campground and it's a great place to relax.

June is a super time to visit Michigan, except for the black flies and no-seeums, the weather is perfect that time of year.....
