5th Wheel Cover and Solar Panel

Hello Everyone-
I have a Cougar 277RLSWE and purchased an ADCO cover for it before I added a Go Power 160W Solar panel.

To make a long story short, I can't use the new not used cover because I use the Solar to keep my batteries charged up when in storage.

My question to everyone is: Has anyone attempted to cut a hole in one the ADCO covers so that the Solar panel can be exposed to sunlight? I am not sure the fabric would hold-up with a hole in it and would end up being torn to shreds in no time with it being exposed to wind and sun.

Thanks,
Ed

If you have the sewing skills you could sew in a piece of thick clear plastic in place of the material you cut out.
