Keystone park model
I have the above unit with 3 hydraulic slides. Since new in 2012, when I extend or retract the slides and have to continually press the switch to get the slides to move. The solenoid clicks but it takes a long time to have the pump start. Hooked to power and to a bettery. What is the issue?

Battery could be defective, it takes a strong battery and shore power to operate the slides. Also could be the auto resetting 12v breaker. Some slide motors on hydraulic slides were originally installed with a a breaker that was too low an amperage and it will trip, then automatically reset.

Hi. The breaker didn't trip and the battery is a fully charged deep cycle battery. ???

The auto reset breaker is not one with a switch. It had two prolongs, they do fail. Sometimes they open for a moment and connect again. They should be mounted near the battery.

Have you had the battery tested? There are several ways to test the battery, pushing the button on the panel and looking at the led lights is not one of them.

A new battery and was just taken off the charger. It has acted this way since it was new.

So you have been operating it this way for 7+ years?

This link will also explain how to quickly test and verify that both your hydraulic pump motor and the dual polarity solenoid are working like they should and if not how to isolate which part is defective.
My money is on the resettable breaker, loose or corrected connections from breaker to solenoid

In case you are still having issues with your hydraulic slide outs here is a simple way to verify you are getting 12VDC signal to both sides of the dual polarity solenoid wall switch input terminals on the solenoid..
With a multi meter place positive lead of meter on either green or Yellow wire where it connects on the solenoid. Put ground lead of meter to SINGLE center post on the solenoid... this is ground
Now have someone press the wall switch inside RV for either IN or OUt motion and observe if you get a good solid 12 volts or higher reading
Now move positive lead of multi meter to Green wire that plugs onto dual polarity solenoid and repeat test above with wall mounted slide switch.
You should see steady and immediate 12 volts DC signal..
If so this will verify that slide switch mounted inside RV is functioning properly
