Brake Lights

Hello All,

I have a 2007 Keystone Sprinter (bumper pull) with a 7-pin plug. Now, when my friend plugs his truck in, everything works, including the brake lights when you press down on the brake. Differnt story when I hook my truck up.

When I hook my truck up, everythign works, BUT the brake lights.

I've taken my truck to a couple RV shops and the last one tested the plug on my truck and all was fine. However, when I plug in the camper, no joy on the brake lights.

Any ideas would be a great help.

Steven

It works on your friends truck but not yours? Most likely a problem in the connector.
Use a VOM to test your trucks connector. See the attached drawing. One lead on the ground, pin1, The other lead on pin 5 then pin 6 to verify if the brake light voltage is good on the truck side. Look for any obvious issues with the contacts on the truck connector and the connector on the trailers cord.

Welcome to the forum! Looks like you've got a good response to you answer. Van Horn TX; is Chuy's still there? Been a few years but used to stop in when traveling down the road thru there.
