We made a piece of insulating bubble wrap to cover the skylight and hold it up with some Command velcro style fasteners. Goes up and comes down easy and stores between the vanity and shower.

I used a piece of "non-slip shelf liner", the type that has a rubberized lace texture, removed the inside skylight dome, taped the shelf liner to the upper surface, then reinstalled the dome. It cuts down on about 50% of the light and about 75% of the heat, doesn't need to be cleaned, closed and it doesn't decrease headroom in the shower. Since it's taped in place and on the upper surface, it's easy to replace if needed, but ours has been in place since we bought the trailer in 2013 and still looks like new.

I chose "light gray" as the color, but only because it was what we had left over from putting new shelf liner in our S&B kitchen.

We got one of these from Amazon - it has reflectix on the top side so helps with the heat.

We did something similar to John. I just bought a front window sunscreen for an auto (lets in some light), cut it to fit the upper dome, taped it in place and went on down the road. Cuts a good bit of heat out but leaves some light (which the one who rules wanted). Put it in first year and we are going into year 5.
