Upgraded batteries and my interior lights stop working

Hello,

I upgraded my 2 12 volt batteries on my Class C to new ones that are Renogy deep cycle AGM 100ah batteries to dry dock a longer time. But when I connected them to the RV, the only thing that is working is the automatic door step. All of the interior lights and refrigerator isn't turning on. Fridge is dual where it runs off of electricity and propane. When I plug it in to power, everything works fine. I have a 2008 Ford E450 25G Fleetwood Tioga. Anyone have any ideas on what I should test to figure out what is wrong?

Any suggestions will be great.

Thanks.

Sounds like you either connected the batteries incorrectly or you blew a fuse/manual circuit breaker that is preventing the battery power to reach the trailer 12 volt system power panel.

I am new to owning an RV so how would I check this out to determine this is the problem?

Are the batteries underneath the entry steps? If so then start at the positive battery terminals and follow them. You may have “dropped” one of the cables, and didn’t see it to hook it back up.

Also you may have a battery cut off solenoid that got switched off. Switch may be by the door on the wall.
