Looks like the cover for a convienence center. Mine is white, one slot is for water and the other is for coax.

Looks like the compartment for the power cable. Likely on a motorized spool

Wouldn't it be easier to open the door to confirm what it is???
If it's like a game show & we're to guess, I'm betting on the cord feel. It's too low & door upside down for a shower, too small for the convenience center & door upside down, too wide for sewer hose storage, so yep, cord reel.
