Tread wear

I have a Laredo 300 RLS 2009
TV GMC 2016 3500
Working on checking over the unit for a trip to Colorado springs I found on the back axle that the tire tread on the inside of each tire was less than the rest of the tires. I replaced both tires.

This is the second year using the GMC. Previous truck was a Chev 2006 2500 which was a bit lower for hookup. The tires on the front axle have even tire wear, no indication of a problem. Could this be caused do to the GMC being higher off the ground? I checked the distance between the two axles and find 1/8 inch of difference measuring between grease zerks from side to side. In addition to the GMC being taller I did raise up my 5th wheel hitch 1 setting because of the slope of my driveway.

Sounds more like an alignment issue, but I don't know much about that so I'll be watching this thread.
