A/C Compressor

Thought I had everthing caught up. A new problem showed up today.
The a/c compressor is turning on whle t/stat is off.Had to throw the 110 breaker to stop it.
Going to try another thermostat first. Will let you know when fixed, or has anyone had this.
I've gone thru all pages here and not seen anything.

A shorted triac on a control board will do that. It keeps the compressor running constantly but the fan may cycle. It happens fairly frequently on my marine equipment that is digitally contrilled. Eventually the coil will freeze up without the fan running.
Move your thermostat setting down to where it normally makes the AC come on and if the fan comes on, the thermostat is good.

Follow up on a/c compressor.
Looks like lightening got me and board needs replaced. Fridge is also acting wierd. Runs on 110,changes to gas when 110 is cut,but when 110 comes back on, the fridge goes off.
Dealer is installing new axle mon,and new boards in fridge and a/c. Also replacing TV antennae
