What size generator for a Hideout 24HBSWE?

Hi All,

I'm just trying to figure out what size generator I need for my new Hideout 24BHSWE. It has the 13,500 BTU AC and from the reviews I've read I think this one will work but wanted someone else to chime in

Champion Power Equipment 75537i 3100 Watt RV Ready Portable Inverter Generator with Wireless Remote Start
https://www.amazon.com/Champion-Powe...ower+Equipment

Thanks

This one is perfect. By the way Costco sells a newer version of this with parallel capability for 699$. My current store has it and you can see if on Costco.com. I own one. It is great!

Correction. Just looked it's only $599 now until April 28

We were looking at that same generator, but it wasn't CARB compliant for Calif.? Unless you living in Valencia in a different state?

looks 50 state carb compliant to me. IMPOSSIBLE to beat this value! I cant recommend it enough. Quiet, economical, and powerful.https://www.costco.com/Champion-2800...100302560.html

$599 for the non remote start is a fantastic deal. Amazon has the remote start version on sale for $715, another good deal. Both gens are regularly priced at over $100 more most of the year. If looking for a inverter generator that won't break the bank and performs just as good as the blue and red brands, these Champions are great options.

I love mine, I drug it out of the shed the other day, when we had a power outage, put gas in the tank and it started on the first pull.

Runs everything in the trailer, just not everything at the same time.

Highly recommended

Looks like that one would work according to the information in the link. If you get it let us know how it goes.

I have a Passport 2670BH. I purchased a Champion Dual Fuel 3400W to run my Dometic 15,000 btu air conditioner. Will start it sometimes but mostly overload the generator. Short story is Dometic is harder to start than most AC. Minimum starting watts is 3500. I am going to purchase 3100W from Costco which is parallel capable and put them together.

My Bullet is equipped with a Dometic 15K BTU AC unit. I own a 3100/2800 gas only Champion model. It runs my AC all day in concurrence with my fridge. Now, it will overload when the compressor is running and I attempt to use the Microwave or electric HWH. But as far as limiting power consumption to the AC, it works like a charm. I do know that the dual fuel gennys operating on LPG produce less usable watts.

Mine would start fine on cold days in the driveway. But on 90 plus degree days it would mostly overload and not start the unit. Champion says outside temperature has a role in how easy a unit starts. Dometic sent me the requirements for my model and minimum is 3500 starting watts. So I'll just bye the 3100W and parallel them. Gives me more power and won't have to worry about other things running.
