It is to hold the refrigerator and freezer doors open when not in use and turned off, to keep mold from growing. You should have 2.

Only thing negative I can say is that they don't stay put while in tow. You'll find your fridge door wide open if you forget to remove them prior to travel. Seems,like I always do.

Since I pretty much always chill and then load my fridge a few days before a trip or keep the fridge on and stocked between outings I rarely have that problem.. nice thing about camping year-round
