So drilling my door is going to be much harder than I thought. Trekwood won't even sell the cables and mounting brackets to me. Can't get anywhere with trying to get this patio going

Ramp supplies
Steve,
I was thinking about making my own cables, Lowes home improvement sell everything needed for this, the pins and connector to the frame are available as well. My thought was to look at a marine supplier to find a bracket to mount on the door. A heavy duty stainless steel bracket that is used to mount Boat tops is exactly what I need. Its just a simple two bolt with a pin connector. I will look around and see if I can find what I think will work and update.

My last toy hauler had no cables so I made my own for it. When I traded it in on my new trailer I kept all the cables for it. They are not as pretty as the ones that come with the patio kit but they will work. I have eye bolts that will bolt through the door frame and a sleeve that will fit over the bolt in the hole so that I can put some good torque on those bolts without crushing the frame. The cables have adjustable clevises on them so that I can get the ramp door level. I just need to make sure it is going to work by supporting the door at the points where I plan to install the eye bolts.

This is my setup. Standard door is enough to hold me and a couple of dogs so far.
Pick-up truck bed tie downs and some cable from home depot, about $60.

That is very nice looking work there.
I am picking up a Raptor 297SE next weekend and plan on doing something like what you have. Would you mind showing how / where you attached the other ends of the cables?

The top eyelet on the door frame was already there for the factory patio option. I just put another fastener on the end of the cables I made up.

Thanks for posting the additional picture CANAM.
Since I have just over a week until I pick up my new toy hauler I will have to wait to see if I have those upper mounting points there. I looked at the pictures on my dealers site and I don't have a good picture with the door open. The view from the inside is blocked by the screen for the rear opening.

I have the same brackets on my trailer. I believe they are all that way from the factory regardless of the patio kit option. Cost saving for them not to have to change anything up during the manufacturing of the frame.

What I did after I bought a raptor in 2010. Bought 2 Rv jacks welded c channel to the top of the all thread. Used a 4x4 the width of ramp door. Carpeted 3 sides of 4x4. Easy to adjust the door for ground level using the jacks. Picture if you need them. Use this all the time no problems.

Installed my home mad kit for patio ramp . I reinforced both sides of the ramp with aluminum 1/4 strips . I have pictures. Some wear if you search.

This is what I did. Regular door. My unit didn't came with patio so I made my self one. Me, wife and 4 kids. I am not putting trampoline there so I m good to go. I did jump on the end tho just to see what happens.
Got everything at home depot. Then went to a press shop and they made those loops for me at no charge. I this looks killer. If you double click on the pic I think it will give you better quality. Also if you are in boise idaho I can tell you where I went to do the loops or what ever you call them.

I still planning to add middle support so when kids will jump in or out it will take some stress out. I am not saying they will. But they saw me do it now go figure lol
I would assume if it can hold 1800 lb rzr then it deff can hold 550 lb not planning to have 10 200 lb people there at ones. You wont even fit them in there. Also when I was trying to get the cables from dealer they told me I need to buy a new door if I am not mistaking almost 3k. Forget that. And its rated at 3000lb mine is 2000lb. Cant see why you want to have 3000lb door but inside the garage there is a sticker cargo should not exceed 2000lb. Go figure

I'm going on 3 years with the second ramp that lipped replaced under warranty. I don't know if it's the stronger door then the original. The ramp spec is visible I would like to compared with stock patio door . I'll be loading 1200 lb Z force 50 inch wide on the side of the ramp and Harley to one side . I may have catastrophe experience if the ramp is weaker on the sides

I did put aluminum plates on front and back the only thing to make the door stronger at that point is tig weld it and I bet it will be stronger at that point.
Also I did 3/8 holes and used 3/8 bolts

I had thought about fabbing an aluminum tube that would be wide enough to reach across door with with about 2 or 3 inches sticking out each side. add some clamping tabs to "grab" door edge. Hook cables to aluminum tube and you have support across full door width (Aluminum square tubing). Then just store aluminum bar inside trailer garage down one side or even on the upper bed when not in use. Haven't made one yet though. LOL

I managed to get my patio kit for my Carbon32 of a guy on kijji. 250 including the stairs came off a Carbon35. Not a reinforced door but it holds the weight just fine. Camping is so much better with the patio love it.

Not sure if you checked previous posts, we had some lengthy discussions on this same subject including my experience. Was interested in a 2012 Raptor Velocity which did not a patio deck. When we asked the dealer if he could install a patio, after consulting Keystone he was told NO and that a new Ramp door (reinforced) would need to be installed. So based on my experience and if I recall previous posts it was the door not the frame. As far as it seems to hold the weight sounds similar to it can pull that
