Gel-Gloss RV Wash and Wax has good reviews and it's what i use on my fifth wheel. I keep a bucket and an expandable hose and brush and usually scrub the front a bit every time we camp. When it gets too dirty all over from driving in the rain, i hit the local Blue Beam truck wash and ask them not to blow my lens covers off. lol

For general washing and waxing, I use Meguier's Ultimate Polish and Wax. Mixed strong to leave a good wax coat. At least once a season I use 303 on the roof. Once a season I use Nu Finish polish for hard shell protection on the sides, front cap and back of the trailer.

Check out the Wash and Wax All package on Amazon. Get the kit with the expandable wand. It really makes the RV look nice and the wand makes it mush easier to reach the top.

I use Meguiars ultimate wash and wax on mine and follow that up with Meguiars spray wax. DO NOT use any wash with wax on your rubber roof. The wax contains petroleum distillates and any petroleum product will damage the rubber roof.

I purchased the Wash Wax all from Amazon as well. I was hesitant because I thought it was a bit pricey but wound up being an excellent investment. I have been extremely pleased with the ease of use and the results. I probably keep our 5er cleaner now because it's just not that big of a task as the traditional hose and bucket method. The extension pole is of good quality, easy to use and the product has a uv protectall in it as well..

What about Simple Green. Anyone have any good or bad thoughts on using in on the roof or sides of the camper.

I've never tried a waterless wash. Where does the road grit go and how does it not just grind into your finish?
Is this the Wash and Wax all you are referring to?

Yes this is the product that I got from Amazon. I wondered the same about the where the grit goes as well. SO if our 5er is really dirty/ gritty I hose it off first then use the Wash Wax. If not I just go with the Wash Wax. The product can be used wet or dry. I am also using in on our other vehicles as well.

Used it on the roof & awnings for years, did a great job.
My awnings would get bad if not used regularly, I mixed up SG concentrate in a 1gallon sprayer, saturate both side of the awning fabric, roll it up for 15-20 minutes, use a medium bristle brush to lightly scrub & rinse throughly.
Wintered in central Florida a couple years & the rubber roof would get almost totally black from smog, mold or whatever it was & SG was about the only thing that would get that crap off without a lot of scrubbing. Did the same as the awning, saturate it, let sit, medium bristle brush, lightly scrub & rinse, the roof would be bright snow white for a few days & then black again.

My question exactly. I have never used one due to that concern.

I use Awesome spray on cleaning product from Dollar Tree. It removes black streaks. Spray on wipe with damp sponge, hose off. I do spend the money for Griots Garage wax products to protect the finish.

Can I ask what you do when there is a bunch of road grime (grit) on the TT? I don't like the idea of not washing the dirt and grit off with water. Where does it go and how does it not ruin your finish? It seems a good product for in between washes and to keep it sealed and looking nice. I'm just trying to understand how this product can be used with a dirty trailer and no water.
Thanks for any info.

If there is a bunch of road grime I wash the trailer first. If it is just dust or very light dirt I use the product only. When you spray on the product just do small areas. The dust/dirt comes off onto the microfiber cloth and the product leaves a coat of itself that you rub to give it the amazing shine.
On my car I have a metallic silver finish and it has never scratched that finish and as you can imagine it doesn't take much to scratch that type of finish.
