Boy its dark!

Well we brought the Raptor 361 LEV home last night and so far so good. But with those of you that have this model, man its dark when you first walk in! without a flash light you can't even find the switch panel!

Has anyone put a small night light in you will over the switches? And then once the interior lights are on if the fan light is off, its dark around the door area and needs another light overhead or a wall sconce. Anyone have any ideas?

Dan

none of the buttons/switches on the control panel are backlit?

On our Carbon, several of the switches in the middle row have a red backlight, so I just remember that first non backlit switch immediately to the right of those is the interior lights switch.

We added a light on our interior step, for entering on dark nights. Works pretty well for walking around to find the interior light switches.

One of the first mods on my list, black steps on dark night

Besides always carrying a flashlight, there is a light under the cabinet to the left of the door as you enter our SRX. Step inside, reach left, light on.

You could always get a stick-on, battery powered light for just inside the door.

I placed one of these with the motion sensor module. https://www.mcssl.com/store/jason.we...e--150-lms-led
It's expensive but works very well.

The thermostat for my Fuzion 414 is mounted in a location under a cabinet where it is nearly impossible to read the display or buttons even with the lights on. They are all backlit but not unless one button is pressed first and there is no freebie press. The first push changes something. I went to Walmart and picked up a stick on battery operated LED strip which I attached under the cabinet. Works like a charm.

Also just used a narrow battery operated motion detector equipped light that was attached with Velcro to the cabinet just inside the door on the left. Does the job

Hey good idea, while we were looking at other TH, we found one where the guy mounted two of them in the garage because his daughters were too short to reach a switch. They were battery operated, about 8-10" long with motion detectors. I'll see what Google finds...

Another option. Self stick tape...$4 at HF. DW uses these inside the closets.
