Greetings from Nova Scotia - First Time TT Owners
Hi all,
Greetings from Fall River, Nova Scotia, Canada.
My wife and I have enjoyed back country canoe camping over the years (all in Kejimkujik National Park here in Nova Scotia), and introduced our 7 year old daughter to back country canoe camping when she was just 5. While we will still do those types of trips - we've opted to expand our horizons.
Now we are first time TT owners. A 2018 Keystone Passport GT 2670BH we bought in May. Pull it with a 2018 F-150 3.5 Eco with the Towing Package. Using a 10K Equalizer Hitch - wanted it to be as stable as possible for the times my wife and her best friend will be taking all the kids TT camping if I'm not coming along - you know - leave the husbands at home trips.
We've made one trip so far to a campground next to Five Islands Provincial Park about a 90 minute drive away. No issues, other than found about 12 skirt and fender screws backing themselves out by the time we got home. Already been been looking that up here on the forums. Will have the wheels balanced.
Definitely loving the Tow/Haul mode on the truck and the automatic engine braking / downshifting it does for me automatically coming down steep hills.
Loving the forums. Boat-loads of info on here. Absolutely critical info for first timers like ourselves. Hats off to all of you.
Tnx
-Steve

Enjoy your new camper! And welcome to the forum! I'm pulling with a 3.5 EcoBoost as well (albeit a 2015)... I simply love the power of our truck.

Loose/missing fender screws is a common issue - they just aren't attached well enough. Some use threaded machine screws with Nyla nuts, I use 8x32 speed nuts behind the screw. I also place washers under the screw heads to prevent them from breaking through the plastic. A dab of blue thread locker doesn't hurt either.
