Slide Alignment

Hi everyone, our 2007 311 bhs sprinter’s big slide Has a very large gap between the slide and the camper on the front side when retracted. We have looked into re alignment but have found nothing helpful. Any input on how to fix this issue would be much appreciated.

If you can provide more information on the type of slide someone might have some ideas. Is it hydraulic, rack and pinion, or cable?

It’s a lippert slide system I believe. It has about a 2-3” gap between the camper and the slide t molding. The gap is on the active side

2-3" is a pretty big gap. My guess that is from blockage as opposed to needing adjustment.

Mine wasn't closing properly and I found that the problem was a bottle that someone had thrown up onto the top of the slide.

Is the gap at the top or bottom or the entire side?

I’d contact Lippert or look online for the manual for your slide. Their manuals are pretty good. It does sound like there could be an obstruction.

There are adjustments you can make. What type of slide mechanism is it?

Is the slide hydraulic or electric actuated.

I believe that it is a hydraulic slide, the bunkhouse slide and the living room slide are on one switch by the entrance.

If that’s the case then look at the end of the ram. It will be threaded, and have I think 3 nuts. If you move them ALL in the same amount you can get full contact. You may have to extend part way, then retract for a second to get the room needed.
