Slide Out Electric Problems

I have a 2015 Montana 3610 RL. When I am bring in the rear slide, I loose all power. The whole 5er loose power. After 10 second the power comes back on and I finish bringing in the slide. Sometime this happens sometimes twice. This isn’t the breaker because the power comes back on with in 10 seconds which leaves me to believe there is a Relay switch some where that is going bad. Was hoping someone could help out on the problem before of next trip.
Thanks

You state whole fifth wheel looses DC power? If this is actually the case I’d be looking at the battery terminal connections maybe disconnect switch for loose/corroded connections.

However... if this slide is hyd... then I’d be looking at inline resettable breaker from battery to hyd pump dual polarity solenoid

If this is the original resettable breaker upgrade it to 80 amps.

No, it is very likely that the entire coach will lose DC power. On ours, the hydraulic pump cable is attached to the load side terminal with the cable that feeds the main electric panel also, so if the breaker trips, it also drops power to the panel. The 80 amp breaker is the fix for this issue. I changed ours out over six years ago, right after Lippert put out the information that this change was needed, and haven't had an issue since.

This is how our breaker upgrade looks like. I did not change the small breaker that just feeds a few small loads. Also, on mine, the line side connection is the one with only one cable connected, and the load side has two cables connected, one that goes to the hydraulic pump and the other goes to the main electric panel. I also had to enlarge the holes in the ring connectors so they would fit the larger studs on the new breaker.

Thanks to everyone. Put in the 80 amp switch in today and nothing went wrong. With your advice and pictures I was in and out in 30 minutes.
Thanks again
