Break somthing (almost) every time I go out, still havin fun!

We purchased an '08 Montana BS 34RLQ in '14, looked like it was in very good condition cosmetically and we loved the size and layout. We also purchased a new TV, '14 F250 Lariat SB 6.7L. Excellent truck, pulls the RV like it wasn't even there. Had a bit of a learning curve, 1st trip bent the landing gear, 2nd trip the other side LG broke (probably same root), 3rd trip no problems, and this year while getting ready for a Disney trip with the Grands had hydraulic fluid leak in the slide sys (lost about a qt) which mysteriously fixed itself. WHAT? OK, I like a mystery and a challenge.... I must like RVing!! Seriously, this is a great forum, a lot of good info, a little hard to find, I'm pleased to have found ya'll (yep, we're from GA!)

to the forum. Lots of great folks and good info here. Landing gear is an issue for me too I guess Got in a hurry trying to hitch up and both myself and DW forgot to raise the front landing gear before dropping the trailer on the hitch. The trailer acted funny coming down and made weird noises; stopped and we both looked at each other and said Oh, c##p! Sure enough the driver side landing gear bent in the middle at the support. A nice $640 mistake to help me remember not to be so rushed.

RVing and boating I have the same saying which is "it isn't a trip until you break or lose something!".

RVing is a way of life but repairing the RV is hobby! Welcome and carry a full set of tools. Oh yeah, modifying the RV is part of the hobby part. When younger, some of us liked to customize our cars - now it is the RV.

I have noticed that most men that RV (and all others) are just big Cub Scouts.

Forgot, my son and daughter-in-law are heading to Savannah in May to look for a new house. He promised to build an RV pad next to it. Since the two Great Grand Sons (and their parents) might go with them we will use the pad a lot! They currently live in Evergreen, Colorado. This will be a huge change for all of them.

We've repaired so many things after going down bumpy roads that we're sturdier now than when new!!!
