Replacing built in Dinette table with conventional table

Has anyone else done this? Ours the upholstery is poorly done, the seats and seat backs slide around and overall doesn’t really match the rest of interior. Our interior color is described by factory as Gun Metal, I certainly do not own any tan coloured hunting rifles.
We are considering a pedestal style table like we have at home. We are even thinking about a “L” shaped breakfast style bar with stools. On the long side of the bar there would be an opportunity to build a skinny cabinet to create storage for some of the things stored under the current dinette.

How did/do you restrain you table to floor? What about chairs? Roughly what did you spend?

There are several threads, two are current and active, dealing with removal of the dinette and replacing it with a table/chairs.

You can do a forum search to read the "older" threads and here are links to the current ones:

So we changed ours out. For us it was a matter of creating room for the dogs AND still having a place to entertain for dinners.

This is what we came up with.

This table is called the "Kamp King Bamboo folding table." Great table, extremely well made. Matches the size of what was in there, sturdy but light weight and easily folds out of the way when we want to put dog crates in that space.

For chairs I went with:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Matches the table, good height and weight. Also folds away nicely for when we want to put dog crates there. When company is coming the dog crates fold away and table and chairs quickly fill the space.

I actually lost some weight (The TT not me ) for the swap out.

This is great. Thank you all for sharing. We too want to create space for Dog bed. Throwing around the idea putting electric fireplace under long side of new bar. We appreciate the links to Amazon and others for tables and chairs as well because budget will need clearance from the tower. Going to post pix of the before and after. Likely do it next month after snow and cold passes.

Great RV Community here, so helpful and seeing other and hearing others journeys let us think if thru.
