What is this?

It has me baffled, this under the front door at the back of the step. Looks like a nut welded to a small shaft. What’s it do?

I'm guessing either a 1/2" or 9/16".

Looking at it on a larger screen: it is an override for a slide, takes a 3/4” socket.

Depends on type of slide. The one in the picture is for the road side slide, should be electric.
Bedroom slide, if it’s a fifth wheel, and electric is the bed on the slide? If so then it’s under the bed. If it’s cable then it’s above the slide Dacia in the center, if it’s hydraulic (unlikely) then there is a different method.
