Bullet 286QBS Furnace

This is the first weekend we’ve used our camper in the fall. We turn our furnace on and the fan ran for a few minutes, then nothing. Are we missing something?

If the propane has been off and the furnace is at the “end of the line”, it may take a couple times to purge. If you live in a area that has mud dawbers or paper wasps and you didn’t install bug screens, the burner may be buried in mud.

That’s the two quick checks. Light the stove to insure there IS propane and it’s turned on.

I've run my furnace three or four times, once to burn in the new furnace so it wouldn't smell when I needed to run it, and to warm up the camper quickly after we have been gone for awhile in cool weather. If the thermostat is in the heat mode and the target temperature is high enough to call for heat, the furnace may not be getting propane. We typically heat with one or two small electric ceramic heaters because a 30,000 btu furnace can drink a lot of propane. The furnace fan should come on and the furnace should start shortly after if the thermostat is calling for heat. I've found that the thermostat isn't very accurate for cooling, I don't know how accurate it would be for heating because we have never used the furnace for any length of time.
