Cool Keystone Springdale 279 rl. New member, traumatized fulltimer Newbie!!

You have permission to laugh before you even read this! We are WAY over our heads! I'm a bartender, hubby is in construction. We were temporarily lent a 2005 Keystone Springdale 279 RL. Free rent (we have lot rent ofcourse) if we cleaned it up enough to be presentable, and hopefully would buy down the road. We had a very sick family member, and had to move home very quickly. It was basically stay in a tent for a bit, pay high rent (too high for us), or use this opportunity until we could buy land. Anywho.... Once we cleaned up this super dirty, bug filled (every inch) abandoned fifth wheel, we noticed some water damage we were not told about, and THEN ALL the water damage you could not see. Every wall and cabinet has had water damage. Including 3 more leaks with us, in just the last few days after we thought we patched the leaks. First we noticed the Fresh Water Valve outside leaking for the first time. 24 hours later the Hot Water Heater in the connection closest to the kitchen (tightened that) with flooding coming out the wheel well under the awning, 24 hours later (not joking), bottom of stairs to bedroom are wet, with bottom of the TV cabinet flooded... 12 hours later a propane smell coming from the Atwood 6 gallon hot water heater we think where the pilot is (although we never had the propane on). Our propane is low, we need to get more tomorrow. Right now we have the propane off anyway because we didn't understand why the water heater would give off that smell. I feel like all of these are related. How could we develop so many leaks or problems in such a short time? Also worth mentioning is we recently dropped one side trying to level her more, it's been raining alot, it's gotten much colder, and the base of the toilet is leaking water the last few weeks. She was ridden hard, handed over with mold and mildew, not serviced for a long time, and not lived in for a year, 3 minutes of hot water, and a pretty significantly touchy fuse box. We do not use the main heat so propane is only used for stove. Electrical on/off switch in the outside water heater box is on. Galley is 1/3 full, grey water empty, black water full (although hooked up to sewer?), fresh water full. If this makes no sense it's because I do not speak RV, have no mechanical knowledge, and reading these forums is like trying to read Portuguese to me.... We really wanted to stick it out until we could buy land and build our own little house, and travel throughout Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi for a really nice job prospect that could help get us on our feet. Now I am about ready to run back to the rental game which honestly is the last thing we wanted to do. We don't want to get caught up in never being able to breathe again! We were so excited to have something to call ours and learn how to fix up! No owners manual here, no markings outside, just an old key with some pencil markings "2005 Keystone Springdale"
