led strip

Today I replaced my porch light with a 16 ft led strip that I found at Walmart. I have always used a rope light that I had to install on my awning every time I set up but this strip will remedy that. I simply done away with the 12 transformer that came with the strip and tied into my porch light so it can be turned on and off with the inside switch. It also came with a remote that can change colors and dim the lights and a few other functions I will probably never use. I think it was a pretty good upgrade and all for $20.

Nice work. It’s amazing how far the technology has come and the price has dropped for leds to allow for all these projects.

I assume the Led strip is waterproof, seems to be a lot of failures on some of these led strips

You could get some stick on cable conduit and run the wire to the light or instead of buying say a 12' LED strip you should buy two shorter ones and run them on either side of the\at middle light.
