Dining table

Guys I have a bit of an odd question. With more folks working from home these days and my wife being no exception our dining area has become more of an office. To better use the space for this I would like to run the table 90 degrees and put it in the corner of the pop out up against the wall. The current table is mounted/ suspended from the wall. Not really knowing the ins and outs of an RV build quite yet I wonder if the wall was built with anything special to support this table as it currently sets or if it’s just connected to the studs in the wall. Do you think if I connected to a different wall and attached to the studs it would be support the table without too much stress on the wall? 2020 Alpine 3701FL (COVID edition lol)

I wouldn’t count on there being studs in the sidewalls of the slide where you would need them to attach the table. You might be better off finding a free standing table, remove and store the original so you could put it back if/when you trade in/sell.

I bought a two chair dining table from Ikea. Really sturdy and gave the booth dinette that was in my camper to a neighbor. The Ikea table is very sturdy.

would you have a picture or part number for your table and chairs? I removed the sofa bed and booth dinette from our unit and looking for ideas.

Ok here is what we decided to go with. I even ran a hard wire internet cable to the PC. Last part of the project will be to stain the boards to match the trim. This should give her a little more room to work. We will likely find a new place for the dog to add a file cabinet or printer in that area if needed.

Looks great. Remember it's your rv and you can modify it to suit yourself. I turned our dinette into a "L" shaped sofa by moving one of the seats. That fit our needs better since there is only 2 of us.

The table looks great!
I too, used to work from my RV when I lived full time. I bought two plastic file cabinets with casters so when I put my slide in and out, I could roll the file cabinets off the slide to remove the weight. And then rolled them under the table for storage when I traveled. My rv had two small tie down rings attached to the back wall to strap in the original dining chairs. It was perfect for strapping the cabinets in place.
