I did 6 years in the Army National Guard during the Viet Nam wartime. I was very fortunate that I was not deployed overseas.
As a result of that service, I really appreciate the men and women who do serve in dangerous areas of the world.
I love this country and I honor all our servicemen and women.

To all those men and women who joined the military to protect and defend our nation, THANK YOU!!!
To all those who, for whatever reason, were unable or chose not to join, share a moment with me to say, "Thanks" to a veteran you may know. Each of them, in their own way, had an impact on our country, the freedoms we enjoy and the prosperity we share.
We owe them all, each and every one, the respect and honor of a greatful nation. They are our "modern day patriots".
