how about a passport?

Hi all I'm new here and looking for information about the passport line of travel trailers. We are looking at a 2300bh and can't seem to find much , whether it be good or bad, about them. Are they just too new for there to be enough people out there with them for there to be any posts about the quality or whether people find the floorplan to be user friendly. Or is it that most people are looking at much larger trailers for a family?
We are kind of limited on how big of a trailer we can haul and thats why were looking at the smaller units.
Thanks for your input
Chris.

We have a Passport 2910BH and love it. the floor plan fits our needs well, and We have had very few problems. Remember it is an ultra light ,so it is put together with light weight materials, but ours has held up well so far.

Mostly happy with ours, had it since novermber 2012. Did remove the pantry door since it could not open all the way by design. Also removed the stapled on(sagging after one camping trip) fabric cover under the couch -- then re-attached it so it hangs from the front of the couch without the sag.

As far as floor plans, feel like that is a personal preference -- so what works for us may not for others. We had to go look at the models we were interested in to actually make a final decision--looking at photos and floor plans on the web is helpful but cannot replace being in one.

We have had ours for just over 2 years. We like it and have not had any major issues so far. Find a floor plan you like & have fun with it.

We have a 2012 Passport 2650BHS and really love it. Like the others, no real big issues outside the "normal" fit and finish problems that seem to be part of the industry. The biggest problem was that the slide cable became frayed, it was covered under warranty. We did get the extended warranty, just in case problems persisted. We have 6 people in our family - 2 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 grade school aged - so we opted for the slightly larger unit so each child would have their own bed to sleep in. It works pretty well for us.

We looked at HUNDREDS of floor plans on line. When we found one that worked, we went and checked it out. We too were tight on how much we could tow, so the ultralight units worked best for us.

Hope this is helpful!

We have the 2920BH. I'd say I'm happy with it. used it 4 times other than at home. There are fit and finish issues, but I think that is probably normal. I had to shorten the vent hose for the fresh water tank. The plastic handle for the grey water tank broke on this trip.(4th time out), I've had both rear stabilizer jacks replaced under warranty due to rust. I will probably take it back this fall and have them repaint the frame as it is rusting. I do believe it was delivered in the winter and the salt was hard on it.

I'm pulling with an '08 Ram 1500 quad cab / hemi, and it pulls it great on the flat and I can keep 60 on large hills without too much problem. I don't think I would go bigger as it gets very long for a short wheel base truck. Also, look at payload on your tow vehicle. I was just at the campground and noticed the Passport 3220bh pulled by a chevy tahoe. I cannot believe that is not over the payload of the vehicle. Especially with 4 kids. I know I can max my TV out if I load the kayaks / bikes / wood / dog / DW / 2 offspring.

I had mine just over a year, no issues. A bit smaller than most here though.

Yak, were gonna be right there with ya. We are looking at the 2300bh and other than not having a sofa which I think we can live without, we think its gonna be perfect for tge three of us and two small dogs. Cant wait, we are so ready to get started camping. We live within 2 hrs of so many places to camp we cant decide where to go first.

I love my Passport. As others said, it uses lightweight materials, but it's as well-made as any other Keystone.

Had I seen a 2300bh, I would have bought that instead and kept my Grand Cherokee (wasn't enough truck for the 2590).

We just returned today from our shakedown of our 2013 Passport 2650BH GT with DH, 12 yo daughter, and 110 lb lab. We moved up from a 24ft BH, with no slide out. This weekend, We thought we were in heaven with king dinette and standard queen bed, and larger floor plan.

We worked through some issues that were user error issues...not equipment failure issues...like learning that the button with a lighting bolt on it is important...it helps heat up cold water.

So for my family, we are very happy. We are heading to the beach in a week...so we needed a few days to work out the bugs.

I like my 2011 280 BH. It pulls nice with my 1500 chevy and has met our needs. We really love it. It's not perfect, but no major issues. We could use a better mattress, but a topper helped.

Passport 2300BH

I have the 2300BH and enjoy it very much. I've only taken it out three times since purchasing it last August. The only problem I've had is not taking it out more often.

So far we love our 2650bh! I really like the 2300bh also, we just wanted a little more room to sit.

We have a 2011 2910bh and it fits are family of 4 kids great....love the layout and weight. We pull ours with a Yukon Denali XL. Ended up getting mine from Holman RV in OH...the price was well worth the ride from Rhode Island.

We are in a pickle, I like the size of the 2300BH but I think I like the extra space and the full time sofa to lounge on in the 2650. They are only 400 lbs different but are both still well within my weight limit. I'm thinking the larger unit but I think the dw is leaning toward the smaller.
Thanks for all the encouraging words on the quality of the passport trailers. It makes the decision much easier.

Bought a 2011 24' BH last year and pull it with a V6 Explorer. I have my wife and a daughter and we absolutely love it. The floor plan is great and size is easy to get into state park sights. Thought about upgrading to a 28' but can't find a BH plan we like yet

In general I think most people would say go with a bigger unit. If you start camping you will find you'll appreciate more space. Only wouldn't go bigger than TV can handle.
