Newbie from Virginia

We purchased our first, new/used 2013 Keystone Hornet Hideout 25RKS travel trailer in June. I was so excited to get it home and try it out. The very first time my husband plugged it in ( not to the dryer outlet) to keep the batterys charged, I heard a pop and smelled something burning. Come to find out, the microwave and the converter blew. It's a good thing we purchased the extended warranty. It's still in the shop after 2 weeks, waiting on parts, but it's all covered. Camping World at Myrtle Beach did not leave me with a good impression. They denied any wrong doing but the insurance company says otherwise. Not a happy camper.

Congrats on the trailer and the good news is it is covered and getting fixed. Unfortunately it takes longer than you want it too.

What did you plug into, a normal 15 amp outlet? If you had a 30 amp installed you will want that checked before you plug in again. You should be plugging into 120 volts only.
