New Tow Ride

Just brought home a new F150, 5.0 V8 with 385hp, listed at 10,900 tow capacity. Has the brake controller, and pro towing backup though I kind of like doing it myself so may not use it much. Anxious to pull the trailer with it when this rain ends. The blue actually matches the graphics on the trailer. Too dark to get a picture of them together. Got a great deal, $10k off sticker.

Nice ride, fella! But don't come on here telling us about some automatic thing to back up your trailer......way too many old farts here! We like to suffer through the hard parts so we have stories to tell.....

That's how we get our exercise, climbing in and out of the truck to see if we're close to hooking up.
Congrats on the new truck.

Yes, like how I nearly took out the mailbox when I brought mine home with my old truck. My wife suggested that I just dig up the mailbox to make it easier, but I preferred to thread the needle and in 10 minutes it was positioned nicely. Here's a picture of the control, it works with the backup camera on the 7" dash display. If you look at it on Youtube, the steering wheel goes by itself, scary considering the truck wouldn't know where my mailbox is, or the trees or house for that matter.

I also have an F150 with the back up assist. I use it all the time and it makes backing so much easier. Once the trailer is aimed where you want it, it backs it up on that line.

Nice color! Congrats on your F150! My tow vehicle is also a late model F150 4x4.
I have the backup assist as well and have never used it. I told my wife "if I can't back up a trailer on my own then I have no business pulling it". Same for the backup camera... I still turn around and steer with my left hand as I ignore the camera. I'm pretty hard headed... old habits I guess.

I do use the backup camera, with the 7” screen without the trailer for parking. I always back into the Parkin garage space at work and the spaces are tight. It should make it easier to line up the hitch because I can see it.

Nice color combo My truck is Magnetic Gray and there is a gray accent on my Cougar, so it matches but not as good as yours. I don't have the back up assist but do use the camera to hook up.

I admit that I do use the camera when hitching up as well as backing into parking spaces. I was backing up in another truck today and caught myself looking at the dash where my camera display should have been.
