New Cabinet Shelves in our Cougar

Fall Break starts tomorrow and we are headed to the Smoky Mountains! My DH was kind enough to add the shelves to our TV center before our week long trip.

In the past we really stored very little in that cabinet because it was just narrow and tall both above and below the TV.

Here is the bottom before....

After adding the board that he stained and cut to fit, we were able to put everything from the top cabinet on that middle shelf down below.

It basically freed up the entire top cabinet. Next he added a middle shelf to that and this is what we have now!

I’m most happy that this new modification makes my regular pantry so much roomier by removing several pantry supplies and making them easier to access.

So now all that’s left is putting it all to good use during the coming week!

Very cool idea. I have added shelves in a couple of our TT cabinets to make them more functional.

Looks great! What color stain did he use? It matches well.

Nice jobs. It's amazing how few shelves come in an RV. Yours are great.

Nice job!! Looks factory! Unfortunately the cabinets the OP described are the norm in a lot of RVs especially toy haulers, either too high and shallow or low and shallow. I guess they don't want us putting too much food and things in them as they usually don't have enough shelves or kitchen storage. We have what the manufacturer calls a ton of storage space in ours...cabinets at about 7-8" deep...lol! Again though, great job on the new shelves!

Thank you! He used Minwax interior wood stain in Special Walnut.
