Gas heater

Just got back from Harpers Ferry koa and dry docked two nights at the hollywood casino and our gas heater stopped working could nt get it to fire off getting gas and spark but wont light.at least ours has electric heat any one have this problem.Oh but I am still taking it back to the dealer this week when I get a chance.Just wondering

There are all kinds of reasons that the furnace won't fire up. The easiest to trouble shoot are a clogged burner tube or orifice. Also check for loose wire connections on the control board. There should be a gas safety valve in there. It can go bad or the control board that opens it can go bad. A bad sail switch can cause problems, too.

We have had it for 5 months or so and this is the first time we have used it ,would it go bad just sitting there?

Unlikely, but that is plenty of time for spiders to nest in the tubes and create an obstruction.

First time we have used the heat that is ,we have been out in it 11 times though

Did the gas stove still work? That'll narrow down where the problem lies.

Yes the stove works and so does the outside patio grill.I have take it back to the dealer since its under warranty and will let everyone know what they find out.thanks for the help

Just an update on our heater .Just picked it up from the dealer and it is fixed the ignitor went bad and they replaced it and everything is working great now.
