Generator hour meter not working.

Anyone know where this ties into on the engine? it hasn't worked at all from the factory and is under warrenty, just thought if it was quick fix, it would save me a trip into the dealer. Thanks, Chris

older style uses 24 volts. If it has 2 wires see if you have 24 volts going to it when the switch is "on". If you do meter is bad- if you don't look for a loose or broken wire.

Some newer ones use a 1 wire that wraps around the spark plug wire.
