303 on Skylight?

It's time to get up and put some 303 protectant on the roof plastic again. In the past I have skipped the clear skylight over the shower. Should I/Do others treat this with the 303 as well?
Thanks

I just did a search and came to this post. Did you use the 303 on the Skylight? I just had to repair a leak around the skylight, and noticed it was in need of something.

I recommend the following -

1) Meguiars #17 Clear Plastic Cleaner, 8 oz Bottle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009KKT8E..._nfraDb54WH6B6

2) Meguiars #10 Clear Plastic Polish, 8 oz Bottle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009KNOSQ..._9hraDb9K420EA

I have used both to clean and polish plastic motorcycle windshields with great success. More recently, since purchasing our 5th wheel RV, I have used these products to clean the skylight over our shower. They work very well.

Good luck!

A 2" bead of abrasive toothpaste will work to buff out most clear plastics. Apply toothpaste (I use Crest) to a terrycloth buffing pad, turn the buffer on low speed and keep moving. You'll see the results in a few seconds. After you've got the sheen you want, wash with clear water, let it dry and apply Aerospace 303 to protect the plastic.

While the "high priced products" work well (I'm not suggesting don't spend money) normal household products will often work just as well and you won't have a half empty bottle of something to find a place to dispose of it or a DW complaining that those things ought to go in the next garage sale...... YMMV
