black tank flush valve access in passport 2910
Hello, I have a Passport 2910 2013 model. Exactly one month after warranty expiration my black tank flush valve started to leak. Well, I guess this is what is wrong based on the failure rate of this part and the fact that I had water under my bathroom sink after flushing the black tank. I didn't see an obvious access panel. So before I start cutting into things, I'm hoping someone with this model can advise on how best to access it for removal/replacement of the junk valve in there..? thanks
Mag

With water under the bathroom sink and you suspect the vacuum breaker I'd look/feel up under and behind the sink. That's where mine is located. You can actually see the 2 white pex lines running up there along with the red and blue water lines.

I am having trouble understanding the link between the Black tank/flush valve and the bathroom sink drain (gray tank). I assume water came from drain in bathroom and not a water source.

In some models, the black tank flush vacuum breaker comes "up" from the floor and into the lower bathroom sink vanity/cupboard area. If the vacuum breaker "breaks" or leaks and you are flushing the black tank, water will leak out and collect under the vanity sink. It has nothing to do with the bathroom sink drain.

I was assuming due to the wording of the post and the location of the water that he was referring to the black tank flush vacuum breaker, which is a part that fails fairly often. I could be mistaken.
Edit - Festus2 beat me to it. Thanks for clarifying that.

Yes, that is correct. Sorry for the lack of details I was just searching on this topic and it is so common I failed to explain it well to those not familiar with it. The hookup to the black drain flush is right outside the bathroom wall on the passport 2910bh. It comes in under the vanity sink somewhere (unrelated to the bathroom plumbing). I never had an issue but after flushing my tank yesterday I opened up the cabinet and saw some water down there. I had assumed it came from underneath the floor under the cabinet. But it sounds like it might be mixed in right there with the exposed vanity sink plumbing lines? Can anyone with a passport confirm this? I would go look myself, but unfortunately my camper is a couple hours away so I won't know for sure until I go out there again. I hope that is the case because that would make things alot easier to repair! I'm quite certain it is the black flush lines. I tested the sink water again and this happened immediately after flushing. I didn't get a ton of water so I'm guessing it cracked from the winter. It had not dawned on me to consider antifreeze for the black water flush...

I have a 2910 bh and winterized everything but that line. Just got it back from warranty and put it in storage. That will be the first thing I check when I get it to the house.
