Backup camera

My 2016 cougar 28RBKWE says it is camera ready and has a sticker on the back of it I am wondering what camera system I need to purchase and if the monitor come separate or will it connect to my back up camera on my truck through the trailer plug

Most 5er are wired for the Furrion camera and wireless with it's own screen.

If you have newer GMC truck it has a three camera system - one on each mirror that activated by the turn signal and one wireless one that goes on the back or 5er or in the bed of you truck. It does work though the 8" monitor built into your GMC trucks. What neat is the dealer can install it as a after market option.

Most common pre wired camera mounts are for he furrion brand, and they do have a monitor that is powered by a 12V aux port ( cigarette lighter) in the truck. The camera is usually powered by the clearance lights, but I have seen them wired directly to the battery. All in all I can say the ones I have installed have had a good picture. I don't have any camera system on my fiver, but the furrion is most likely the one I would use.
