New 29rev owner in TN

Hello everyone,

Just picked up a '12 Cougar 29rev and looking forward to taking it out once the weather turns. Little bit about us: We've got two kids, one girl, one boy, that both love to go camping. Typically, we camp in the Smokies and the Cherokee Nat'l Forest, but we also camp at the beach once a year as well(Hunting Island). Had a '08 Fleetwood Avalon popup before this that we traded in. Hope to see you out there!

Welcome to the forum! The DW and I just returned from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We stayed at the River Plantation RV park for a week. Dag gum was it ever COLD when we were there!.. Had a blast! Think we might try and come up when it's warmer and try and grab a spot on top of the Douglas Dam. Pretty cool place.

Welcome Lite Foot, we have been considering hunting Island. I hear it fills up fast in the summer.

Krut,

Hunting Island really has two distinctly different campground sections. The preferred section is literally right up behind the beach with several sites backing up to the sand dunes. Really beautiful sites. The other section is further back from the beach in the woods, but still really nice. The beach section fills up nearly a year in advance. You can still get sites in the other section just a few days in advance depending on the time of the year. It's our favorite campground so far.

Beware the mosquitoes and raccoons.

Ryan,

Thanks for the info on Hunting Island. It looks really nice on the web site. We may try to make it out there sometime this year.

Thanks again.
