Cameras? 120 degree or 170 degree

Anyone have any personal experience on a rear camera angle? Wondering if 170 would be distorted?

Re: Cameras? 120 degree or 170 degree

My understanding is that 120 degrees is more appropriate as a rear observation camera (like a rear view mirror), whereas the 170's wider view is more suited as a backup camera to observe objects close to the camera.

Re: Cameras? 120 degree or 170 degree

I can't believe Etrailer is hawking a rear view camera with only a 90 degree field of view, just got an email.

Buyer beware
