Check Valve

I winterized today. I used the compressor method. While blowing out hoses to the pump I found a tiny check valve on the floor. Does it go into the "City Water" line connection? It didn't fit into the hose connection on the back of the City/Tank valve. Maybe it fell there during construction????? Just wondering...

Re: Check Valve

Can you post a picture? I've seen lots of things left over from construction, can't say I've ever seen a check valve.

Re: Check Valve

Chuckster,
sorry for the delay. Been a busy week.
Atached is a picture of the check valve i found laying on the floor under all the hoses, wires, etc. I thought it might have come out of the CITY WATER inlet hose when I unscrewed it during winterizing. ( I was going to stick the hose into RV Anti Freeze and let the pump pull it through the lines.)
I tried to put it back into the line where I thought it came from, no luck, too long, wouldn't allow me to screw the line back onto the back side of the CITY WATER/TANK FILL valve.

Re: Check Valve

Thanks for posting the pic. No worries on the delay, I have had a difficult week too but that's another story.

It doesn't really look like a "check valve" to me but maybe someone else will identify it for both of us. As long as everything is working as it should I would save it as a souvenir.

Looking at it, is the outside diameter a mesh? It may be a filter cartridge. Just a WAG

Re: Check Valve

It is definitely a check valve. You can suck air thru it in only one direction. Outside is solid plastic, not mesh. I guess I will find out if I need it next spring.

Re: Check Valve

Flow regulating check valve, usually on a shower, or faucet... since I don't know what all you took loose, I can't speculate further.
