Storage for Fresh water hoses

Hello, I found several great ideas on the forum, so I am looking for another one. What do you do for fresh water hose storage?

Rick

RubberMaid tub. Stores 2-25' hoses, all the various fittings and the water filter (stored in the fridge during hot weather).

It would definitely help us with issues if you'd go to the "user cp" & add a signature of what rv/truck/motorhome you have.
I coil mine up & lay it in the basement.

Coil them up and throw them in the back of the pickup or in the basement. I'm sure there will be members who spray them down first with 409, scrub them inside and out with steel wool, run Clorox then hydrogen peroxide through them twice. At that point they're so darned tired they coil 'em up and throw 'em into the back of the pickup.
Yes, I'm having a little fun at their expense, but c'mon, how much work do we have to make this activity of RV'ing? They are just water hoses for Pete's sake.

We use a plastic tote for all the "fresh" water items and place it in the pass through.

On a related note...does anyone besides me sanitize the CG water spigot before you hook up the hose?
We started doing this after watching a dog lift his leg and christen one.

It's probably a good idea, but after drinking from windmill pipes, water troughs, stock tanks, streams, ends of water hoses, irrigation sprinklers etc. all my life I don't really worry too much about something being on them. And after all that, I'm still wound as tight as a ten day clock; tick-tock, tick-tock...tock-tock...tock-tick...tick, tick, err....tick-tock....

I use the "Cord Pro" for storing my fresh water hose. Rolls and unrolls easy and storage is neat and clean. I hang the cord pro from a hook in the basement. And, because you're rolling the hose back into the cord pro, the hose is drained of any residual water. I couple the ends together anyway out of habit
When in use, you only unroll as much hose as you need. The rest stays in the cord pro instead laying in the dirt/mud etc.
OH, it's good for power cords too
As for sanitizing the hose bib... I usually check that it's working by turning it on and also give it and inline filter a quick rinse before hooking up. I seem to get a better seal when the washer and bib are damp.

Ditto...

I hang the hoses in the front basement on the hooks provided by Keystone

I just roll mine up and close the ends on each other so nothing can get inside the hose then put it in my front pass through on top of the other stuff so it doesn't get pinched by anything else. Don't have a basement in a TT.

Drained then rolled up. Put ends together and toss into tub in basement.

Same here. Pass through is very small in our TT.

I just coil them up and throw them in a plastic tub to keep them from contacting anything in the storage bin and I screw the two ends together to make sure nothing crawls into the end of the hose.

Same here. Stored this way for most of my camping years.

Nope, just adds to the idea of roughing it.

OK I guess I don't do all that stuff, but if you do and you are happy with that then that's all that matters. I roll the hose up and tighten both ends together to keep critters from going in the hose and to not let any excess moisture run into the basement where I put the hoses

Hooked up my zero-G hose and will just leave one end connected and cap the other end and store it in my convenience center. That way no critters get into hose or in the system.

I'm in the process of switching over to Zero-G hoses which will collapse into a small tub. I just bought a 50 footer, now I need a 25' version. But with that said, all I have ever done with conventional hoses is roll them up, screw the ends together and plop them in the front basement storage area.
