Lead Carbon Batteries
Been researching batteries. A new battery is in my future. What to get??? I don't boon-dock. I have one single 12V battery that does everything. The new "Lead Carbon Battery" appears to be the RVers choice, according to some RV sites. Not familiar with this type of battery. Does anyone have this type and what are your opinions? Thanks

If you don't boondock then spending the extra cash is not going to be beneficial. Any deep cycle battery will do. You might want to upsize to a group 27 if you have the room.

Lead Carbon Battery are not the 'favorite' of RVers.
Sandy if you are not into all of the fancy stuff that we all seem to do in rving just get a 12 volt battery from Sams Club/Walmart or some place like that.
If you want to be wild get 2 of them and have them connected together.

Never have seen any info about a "lead carbon" battery on any RV forum or website. I'm going to Google it.
Just buy a Walmart RV/marine group 24 flooded lead acid battery. Walmarts are everywhere and they are generous with their return policy.

Yes.
Using a pair of 6v batteries is essentially a two piece 12v battery.

As long as they are wired in series (like flashlight batteries) in parallel would be a two piece 6 volt battery.

Manny, the majority of old timers here on this site would prefer the 2 6-volt to one 12 volt.

Or Amos and Andy, or The Jackie Gleason Show, or I Love Lucy, or Dennis the Menace, or Green Acres, or Gunsmoke (remember that was before the days of "Americans with Disabilities Act"...
or..... Looking back, my how we've become so "sensitive to almost everything"......

I can remember Our Gang when it was syndicated on TV as The Little Rascals. Used to really enjoy that as a kid, but of course never got to do all the things those kids got away with.

I used to run home from school to watch the Mousketeers. Annette was my favorite. That was back when TV screens were round and "green and white"... I remember laying on the floor of the neighbor's living room (we didn't have a TV) to try to look up her skirt.... Yeah, I know, I know.... Terrible second grader that I was..... BTW, it never worked.....

Sensitivities! Sensitivities!
Yep, the world is trying to turn itself inside out. I remember the first showing of the Wizard of Oz in the early 50s. Even though I was old enough to "know better" we gathered at a cousin's house (we didn't have a tv at the time) and all the kids laid out on the floor and watched it entranced. I usually watched Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, Roy Rodgers and such along with some Saturday morning comedies. Then later....remember Sky King? Now it's "reality" TV, guts and gore, cussing and sex; it's a shame but our innocence is gone.
Whoops! back to batteries

JMO but I think society has gone from innocence to insolence in one generation. Frightens me to think of where it will go from here.
