Cable TV as a transient

We occasionally stay at places that advertise cable TV.
At home, cable requires a cable box to work.

Our TVs in the camper are newer smart TVs that ask to scan cable stations as part of the normal setup
The trailer is wired for cable.

Do I need anything more that a typical coax cable to connect to RV park cable?

I could care less, but the bride is addicted to TV!

TIA !

RV parks are different when it comes to their cable service. You may find a few locations requiring you to rent a cable box but for the most part you just connect your cable.

That being said, do study the directions for your television system as you may be required to change a selector switch or turn off your antenna booster before you scan for RV park cable channels.

Hope this helps.

Two thing REQUIRED..
1. If your trailer doesn't have KeyTV you will need to select "cable tv" on the antenna plate inside the camper. You didn't share the year or model of your trailer so can't get more specific.

2. The TV must have a cable tuner. I don't know of any TV built in the last 20 years that's not "cable ready". You didn't share any info on the TV either but most require you get into the setup menu and change the input from Antenna to Cable then scan for new channels.
