30RIPR rear coax cable

Does anyone know the direction that the rear outside coax cable runs? Looks like it turns down towards the bottom?

Got to replace the entire cable it’s melted internally and shorted to ground (it’s shield).

(Shorted a leg on front AC by over tightening the cable clamp - cable was the best ground )

Appreciate any input.

I’ve seen coax go underneath, and I’ve seen it in the attic. If you have KeyTV, it probably runs along the bottom, but that’s strictly a guess.

How did you short it out?

Where are your coax outlets inside? Typically it will run down the rear wall, under the floor, then up an interior wall to the closest coax wall plate.

So to clarify this statement, "Shorted a leg on front AC by over tightening the cable clamp - cable was the best ground )" you used the coax cable to "ground" the 120vac air conditioner? Please clarify this. If the air conditioner ground was bonded to the coax and it melted the coax, then you have other MAJOR issues.

If the above is correct, then the aircon is shorted out to ground and needs to rectified. If this happened the likely you have ruined all the coax splitters, the antenna pre Amp, and the wall plate that you choose cable/ antenna or the Key TV.
