Weigh Safe Ball?
Does anyone use this?
Other being vulnerable to damage from dips, why is this something i haven't seen in all of the "must have" stuff?
Edit: I found the answer. Not compatible with WD hitches.

And at around $300, it is roughly twice what you can buy a Sherline scale for. It might be easier to use if you don't need W/D, though.

I did click the link. I agree, not compatible since you wouldnt be able to see the scale for one.

It's $109. That's why I was looking at it rather than the scale.

LOL, I thought you meant the Weigh Safe hitch. Didn't know there was a ball only option.
I could see this being used on a shank just to get the weight. IMO, that would be easier than a stand alone scale.

Good idea! I already have a standard ball mount.

It's a great idea but with a major flaw other than not being compatible with wdh. The hitch weight should be a percentage of the total weight. I can just envision someone not educated to this ratio loading up, looking at the scale and thinking "gee I can put another 1000 lb in if I put behind the axel. That way it'll still be safely below the tongue weight."

Agreed, but I don't see how that is any different than a Sherline or bathroom scale method. This one would allow you to drive right up on a CAT scale without the two other re-weighs.
