New Member in St Aug Florida

Hello all,

My wife and I purchased a 2021 Cougar 32rli a few months ago and are living in it full time in St. Augustine, Florida. We are parked on private property with full hook ups and great neighbors. It's our new "Tiny House".

We purchased from a private party in October 2023 and received no manuals for any of the equipment or the trailer itself, so we have been largely "flying blind" for the last couple of weeks, while we've moved in and gotten settled.

I'm just getting around to surveying all the gear for serial numbers and downloading manuals... gradually educating myself of the details of what I bought.

Background: Van Campers for DECADES - we still have our self-conversion Sprinter Van (144" wheelbase) that we use to travel. We have always been happy in a van for cross-country travel and exploration. We only purchased to the trailer to live in while stationary. Again, it is now our "tiny house" and home base.

I look forward to reading your posts and leaning more about owning trailers.

Regards,

Pierce and Ruth

Looks like chilly weather is on your way. It was 27F here in our neck of the woods this morning and single digits predicted for later this week I guess. If I was full timing, I would consider calling the propane company and seeing if you could secure a larger propane tank and refills. The tanks on a camper are not big enough for full timing (in my opinion) and you will be running back and forth for propane often with the supplied tanks. I like to run our on-board furnace for an hour or so in the AM when camping in cold weather and we rely on small electric heaters otherwise. Good luck.

Welcome from north Georgia! Where are you located in St.Augustine? We spend time on the beach in Flagler Beach and love the area. My wish is to live there full time some day!

Downloading the manf manual for each appliance, device or system is the best.
Keystone provides very little of these manuals if any on new rigs.
The Keystone owners manual is a brief overall view of several rigs. Not much help.
Look up the model & manf number of device or call them for reference.
Build your own owner manual and shop reference.
My rig manual is about 5 inches thick with manuals, brochures and reference material for every device on my rig.
I have spent zero time in dealer shop or parts dept. I am the RV Repair tech on my rig.
